Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house having a combined gross household earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic profits won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
